Write a Golden Shovel
The golden shovel poetic form created by Terrance Hayes and inspired by Gwendolyn Brooks: Here are the rules for the Golden Shovel:
- Take a line (or lines) from a poem you admire.
- Use each word in the line (or lines) as an end word in your poem.
- Keep the end words in order.
- Give credit to the poet who originally wrote the line (or lines).
- The new poem does not have to be about the same subject as the poem that offers the end words.

Meditate for 10-20 minutes. (For those who do not do this regularly, sit in silence and attempt to clear your head and silence your thoughts.) It can be pretty challenging, but also really beneficial for writers who seem to never get a break from thinking. When you finish, I am sure your mind is going to be exploding with fresh thoughts. Write them here!

Write a collaboration. It can be with a friend, a relative, or even someone on prose!! The catch? It has to take place in a coffee shop. However, it does not have to be a love story. Just take the setting and run with it. Be creative!

Message a fellow Proser who's writing style you really admire, and get to know them! Then, write a collaboration together!! It can be anything, a story, a poem, etc, etc. Post it on both accounts, so a lot of people will be able to see the fruit of your labors.
