Raphael Carvallo is the best Wicken Hunter in all of Kestramore, she's killed more of the heretics that plague their land than anyone else. Despite this feat, she's running, from herself and her past. When murder strikes the castle, killing the prince and widowing the foreign princess, Raphael is sought out to find the magical murderer and uncover how the prince's life was ended. Along the way, She realises that Kestramore's castle has dark secrets and monsters are lurking within its walls.
