Moonlust
I drink a cocktail of moonlight
Laced with a million shooting stars
The intoxicating scent of darkness
Accompanied by the candlelight of long forgotten midnight bars
Where I tussle with my demeanour
Surrounded by the righteous and the wicked
The lost and the wronged
Amongst all the dysfunction is somewhere we belong
Some sort of serenity hinted at in a thousand different songs
While we sway in time to the nights rhythm and rhyme
From nightclubs and quaint forgotten bars
To star adorned bedrooms above parked cars
Intoxicated by the floral scent of you
Infecting my thoughts with serpentine visions of lust
Discarded lace and satin under the stasis of moon dust
Bodies writhing amongst the flickering flames of candlelight
Shadows dancing in carnal tribal celebration
Fingers wet with desire and temptation
The open blinds cast moonlit lines across the room
Shadows that fall and rise with every passing car
While I trace glossy lips with hungry fingertips
Mouths caress wantonly in the electricity of the dark
The silky smooth skin that blesses my fingers
Lost in the heat of you
Your thighs tight around me
Addicted to your feminine wiles
On the invisible shore of the night
That takes us closer to ecstasy
Wave after undulating wave
The tranquility broken by urgency
Carnal greed and fire possessing our souls
Extinguished by the caress of slumber
And on my lips your number...

I drink a cocktail of moonlight
But you see
I do not swallow
I breathe
The glow of that rock
It's remnants hushed
To a dust of humbled rays
Boasting the warmth
Of a million lights
Pulled by the touch
Of a blackened nothing
It crawls to the very corners of me
Into each and every crater that craves
To taste these memories of centuries
Traveled by the
Sun
Unknowing
And boiling in her own innocence
Her majesty all but aware
Of the weight she holds over
Countless souls
Who are one in the same
Once filtered through the teeth of time
Softened in broad strokes
And spilled graciously over us
Through this blessing of the
Moon
A Cauldron Concoction
I drink a cocktail of moonlight,
A tempting witches brew.
Temptation transformation,
A lunar rendezvous.
With the essence of Hecate
Imbued in my veins
And Aphrodite's allure
Further ingrained
With each sip and each swallow
Of this enticing vervain.
If it's a witch that you seek,
Never have any doubt.
I am influence and power.
Beauty masks my clout.
And with this cocktail of moonlight
My powers increase.
Where the daylight leaves me dormant,
In the night, I will feast
As desire blinds your eyes
To the belly of the beast.
And with a pheromone call,
Attraction emanates
As he crawls and begs and pleads
And she salivates.
So, follow me, my loves
And find the release that you seek
With this moonlight cocktail procured..
Won't you have a drink with me??
Cost
I drink a cocktail of moonlight
It makes my gut feel tight
Loathe to rage or fuck or fight
I surrender to the night
In a quiet clearing
Lit by Luna's light
I build a meager fire
To lessen Dark's cold bite
I stare upon the heavens
And contemplate my life
All the people I have known
The ones I've loved and lost
The truths that I've held dear
And tossed
The battles I have fought
For reasons now exiguous
So frivolous in thought
That's when it occurs to me
That to live
Comes at a cost...

Morphling
I drink a cocktail of moonlight and gin, laced with angel dust.
My cheeks flush with iridescence, my wings beat against the heavy summer night.
Sweet nectar drips down my chin; I catch it with the back of my wrist, careful not to scratch myself on sharpened fangs.
Long locks blow in the breeze, blinding me, as I balance along a log.
I recede into the wood, searching for a likeness...
a partner
a mother
a mirror
lost on a journey without markings or a map.
So I drink a cocktail of moonlight and gin, laced with angel dust
alone.

Madness
I drink a cocktail of moonlight,
hours drip away until dethroned
past the towering bridge of ecstasy.
Moon threatens to fall out of the sky
in a beacon of glitz and bleeding toes,
drifting past moodiness, leering brazenly -
a pock marked soul sitting on edge of day.
Moon’s madness slips just beneath halo,
laying on top of world with angel wings.
Standing alone, I hear sounds of guts
and fury pounding the ground, displaced
spleen limpid with lukewarm tears -
trickle of aqua becomes a stream as
moon gives a silent yawn while music
strums in the gilded background.
Moon is all that exists as I take last sip
awakening to savage sun taking a bow.
On a Full Moon
I drink a cocktail of moonlight when the slivery glow is full. The savage intoxication of lust that grips my soul anew: Craving the heart, the beating life, the call that demands repast. Control is lost at the scent of blood; the drug a life that clings: the incur, no choice, resist I can’t, under the rays of my god.— The circular monolith and curse from times past — when I lost my way on that lonely road. The savagery untold, death was gone, the bite of truly evil. And now the girl, trembling of fear, I howl, the call is wild. Her red cloak shimmies under the soft night shine, a hint of taste delight. A feast on granny, then desert, the climax, oh shit! Here comes that woodsman.
