Every Hour
Every hour, a bloody bell, dictating when to move.
Every hour a bloody hell, fashioning a groove.
Don’t do this, do do that
Rules and regulations
England, France, America
Repeated in all nations!
Every hour a learning spell, full of inspiration.
Every hour of learning well, repeat across the nations.
Think, think, think. Work it out
Find a new solution
To numbers, words and history
To science and pollution.
Every hour, a teacher dies somewhere deep inside.
Every hour, a teacher cries, wishing they could hide.
Do do this, don’t do that
Results or you’ll be fired
Keep the joy and lose the pains
And let them be inspired
Every hour
I wonder
Why?
School
I liked going to school,
first years were like magic
then suddenly it all become tragic.
My little heart in constant agony
my father's first slams mahogany:
"You have one job and you can't do it right!"
my face turned red from crying,
my mothers face is marble,
all this kids point at me,
But now it's all finished,
I'm free swinging from a tree.

Elementary to College (poem for challenge)
First, second, third, fourth,
going to the next.
The class is north
of mine and I am nowhere near knowing the regression of y on x.
Middle, with my brother to the eighth,
they say they really prep you for high school,
but I still have my faith.
Then by the end of the day, I’m in the ninth! Isn’t that cool?
Ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth,
Graduating now,
I need better wealth.
But I just forgot how?
The Best Years of My Life
As I walk onto the campus,
Their words ring in my ears,
These are the best years of your life.
The first year I was new,
Too unsure to make new friends.
I'd let them come to me,
and when they didn't,
I'd just pretend.
The second year just came and went,
Passing all my classes.
I gained some friends that year though,
Thanks to my good grades and my glasses.
Junior year was hard,
Just like the seniors said,
When I get home,
I do my homework, do my chores,
Then I die in bed.
My last year was full of promise,
Looking to the future!
But then I look at all the scars,
That I got that in that short while.
So, I sigh.
As I walk onto the campus,
Their words ring in my ears anew,
Enjoy yourself,
These are the best years of your life.
