The face in the mirror was dead, yellow like a chinaman, eyes as red as lobsters. Time ticked while Emily suffered, every second, every minute she could feel the cannibal eating her from the inside out, watching that woman suffocate him with her lips, he was her soul mate. She was happy, Alex made her feel true, pure happiness, she was filled with it and love, until the day when it all got sucked out of her by a cute blonde bitch, she felt like nothing now, just a big empty bowl. Her feelings had disappeared, except for the ones for Alex, she could feel nothing but pain and misery. She kept thinking, who on earth would do something like this to anyone, why Alex would Alex do such a thing? She asked herself the same question over and over again. Sarah walked out of the bathroom looking at Emily in shock, "Hey Emily" she said. Emily starred away into another world,
"Hi" she said looking into the air. She paused for a good seven seconds, "Oh, and Sarah can you tell Mr. Dilens that I will not be at work today. I don't feel so well" She said looking Sarah straight into the eye.
"Why of course honey! Lord you look terrible, do you need me to stay here with you and make you some soup?"
"No that's fine Sarah," Sarah was always such a doll to Emily. As soon as she left the building Emily burst into tears only thinking of Alex. She suffered a vast amount, no one in the world could feel her pain, it was like a cannibal eating her up from the inside, it felt like someone was ripping her guts out. She could not stop thinking about Alex, but she wanted to, she just couldn't. The poor little eyes of Emily could now only see black and darkness, in her
soul there was an apocalypse full of earthquakes and storms. It was eleven O'clock, the time when the news was on, she rubbed her eyes and switched on the television. When she lay in bed listening to the woman speaking at a vast speed she felt a shock run through her veins, eyes bulging. It was truly shocking for her seeing her ex boyfriend on the news dead. She nearly lost consciousness when she remembered about the photo, she thought for a minute and ran out the house ripping the photo from her make up box. She ran like a pride of lions hunting, her tears persuaded her to move her legs faster, the thoughts of Alex made her eager to kill herself. She leaped towards the front desk shooting out sentences,
"I information on the murder of Gabriel Micheals" she said drained from her breathe.
"Ah... Okay, one second" she said picking up the phone, "Yes, this is officer Nolan, he is the captain of this case." Emily followed him into an interrogation room. sitting down her mouth opened wide,
"I know who is responsible for the death of."
"You say you have evidence?" she stared at him and took out the photo. He examined it for a while.
"Good lord, where did get this"
"I found it in front of my door" She said looking at him.
"Who is Brian?" He asked.
"He is my ex boyfriend, who I heard died five days ago." She said with her head down and eyes looking up,
"Really, why would he want to kill Mr. Micheals, was he an enemy?"
"Well, last week I went to the funeral of Gabriel and saw Brian at the corner staring at the gravestone," she paused "and he was there before me. Brian also never liked me being with anyone, he took the break up hard and was probably envious."
"Hold it there, you and Mr. Micheals were together?" he asked. Emily's concentration flew out of the country and immediately thought of Alexander, and noticed she was bleeding somewhere, it was coming from inside her nail. She thought it strange because she did not remember getting cut. "Miss Stevenson, snap out of it" he said in a whispering type of way.
"Ah!" she shook her head, "Sorry officer" he stared at her very strangely, "Oh, no, we were not together, but we did fool around a couple of times." The strange face was still intact.
"So, you say he was upset when you split up?"
"Yes" She replied.
"And how long ago did you break up with him?" He asked.
"Five years ago. But he also kept begging me to take him back for a year and a half, but then he stopped. I also think he might of been stalking me."
"That's why he killed himself" He said,
"I don't know for certain, but maybe."
"Or he didn't want to get caught," he insisted. Emily shrugged her shoulders and swung her purse onto her lap. "It was good to meet you miss Stevenson, but I have a meeting soon. Can you give the photograph." She gave it to him and left, whilst doing so she saw the destroyer of her dreams, the darkness of her light, walking through the hall holding hands with a man. The man picked up some files from the front desk with the woman kissing him on the lips. On there
fingers there were wedding rings, when he left the station a card slipped from his pocket. He was a lawyer named Charlie Davis, she stuck the card in her pocket and left.
When she got the rest of her photos developed she studied them, spilling a tear every time she saw him. Flicking through one and another she had spotted the picture of the woman making out with Alex. She looked at it in the most angriest face that ever existed, and finally she lost it. She screamed so loud and threw every thing around, slowly coming her down. Her hands ripped the photo right in half, but right before she was going to set it to flames she had come across an idea, looking at "the woman's" husbands business card she felt vindictive.
