It was a coincidence that Eve was staying at Emily's motel but Emily felt it more like an omen. Emily's legs moved with rage following Eve into her apartment. The door knob made her hands twitch, partly she hoped it was locked but another part of her hoped that it was opened. She closed her eyes twisting the knob as it creaked open. Eve was in no sight of her, but she heard the shower on as she moved her legs to the wardrobe. Eve's tears were greater than the shower, Emily smiled at this. The shower stopped but the tears did not, Emily stepped further in the wardrobe. The towel dropped from Eves body and put on one of her rich negligee but this just made Emily stand with rage. Her hands reached into her purse squeezing her nail scissors and pushed through the wardrobe.
"Who the hell are you?!" Eve yelled in bewilderment.
"You stole him from me" Emily whispered,
"What on earth are you talking about, Get out!"
"Alex! He loved me not you, whore stole him from me."
"Oh, you're the journalist Alex talked about. Ha, pathetic" this made Emily fill with rage, "Wait, your the reason why I'm in this cheap motel, Emily right" she said in an angry voice. But Emily could by now only see red, her hand was nearly purple from how she grasped the nail scissors. Eve's mouth went on and on yapping about how Emily ruined her life, that made Emily even more angry because she did not even stop for a second on how she ruined Emily's knife. Her hand was ready to fall off from the wrath in her hand, but before that could happened she pulled them out of her bag leaping in front of Eve's toes sinking the shark tip of the object deep in her neck, not once but at least three times. The last noise that came from her mouth was a small little squeak, was it wrong doing this or did she deserve it? In Emily's opinion it had to be done, she was not not afraid or guilty, she knew what she did and admired it, she smiled at the body for a while and dumped it in the bathtub. The nail scissors were saturated with blood, but Emily did not mind at all, she smelt it and rubbed it on her hands proud of what she had done and put them in her bag. The blood that dried on the scissors was now a memento of her most pleasing work.
Two days past and Emily did not find the slightest bit of remorse. She hoped she would not get fired again from what had happened, she did not go to work the other day. Her boss looked her between the eyes in a stern way, his arm lead Emily into his office.
"What the hell happened the other day?" He asked in a way that made Emily's spine shiver.
"I can explain" She said in a desperate voice,
"Well go on" Her boss said.
"It was my ex-boyfriend, I saw him the other day and it scared me." She liked to imagine that in her fantasy Alexander was her boyfriend, her knight in shining armour.
"Alright Stevenson, but if anything like this happens again it'll be the last time you'll see this diner ever again." She looked at him thinking of ways to kill him with a smile, she knew she could do it right know, she would love to do it, but she could not. It would be dull, she had to plan things first.
Detectives were surrounding Eves motel room eyeing every detail, Emily passed without anyone noticing. The door knocked but Emily just stood there gaping it for a good while until it lost its patients. Two detectives stood in front of the door asking to ask a few questions. Emily sat on the coach acting relaxed asking what had happened. "A woman was murdered named Eve Davis, know her?" Said one of the detectives.
"I saw her a few times" Emily replied,
"Did you hear any noise or someone scream" the same detective inquired.
"No" answered Emily trying to hide her little smile.
"Did you notice anything strange about Eve or someone following her?" The other detective asked slowly,
"No, sorry" Emily said in a shaky tone,
"Okay well call this number if you find out something, thank you" They gave her a card and left. Emily had to plan her murders a little different.
