RIBCAGE

Peek through the spaces in her ribcage

and you'll see her beating heart

You may look, but you can't touch,

a guarded piece of priceless art

Don't bother reaching fingers through

it will stay just out of reach

And in this state, it shall remain,

it's bony cage unbreached

Until one day, she finds her rhythm

and beats against her own cage

And frees her heart, all on her own

for only she's the one who can save
