What I can not
You saw me right there,
giving you a helping hand.
You stood there smiling,
Knowing I saved your day.
You looked at me with questioning eyes,
"What else can you not bear?" You said.
"Stupidity," I answered.
Shocked, you bowed your head, perhaps in shame.
"Don't worry, I can't stand my own stupidity," I defensed.
Your face lit up and you laughed.
And I mean, 'yes if the shoe fits it would mean you...and me saying yes, when I could say no,' said I in my head.
