Dark vs. Light

What if daylight shrouded monsters?

Made them invisible,

Unable to be seen,

Saving us from seeing their hideous face,

Yet, inevitably, making them harder to stop.

What if the dark revealed them?

Made them visible,

Allowed them to be seen,

As gruesome or terrible as they may appear,

And, therefore, made them easier to stop.

Would the dark still be your greatest fear

and daylight still your salvation?
