Challenge

Flood
I had not chosen a brighter path-
For this took quite a lively heart
And tore it, ripped it, all apart,
Tore in the purity a bloody strath,
Leaving a river to run with blood,
And a portcullis broken under flood-
My heart is lit by only wrath.
