Final Frontier
My eyes are wax dim to the beauty said to be in this world
For it doesn't compare to the universe above.
I wish to be like the astronauts that travel there
That get to see stars in perpetual night
And the sun rise over the Sea of Japan
I want to watch the Milky Way run like a rushing river
And the moon grow fuller minute by minute
To grab comets by their tails and watch them squirm
To ski along the Ganymede; Jump through the rings of Saturn
And watch Venus change its shape
Hold my breath as I pass through giants of gas
Steal diamonds from distant planets
And find my way to the end of the universe.
To watch time fly faster and faster
To find life somewhere pass this lonely world.
