Finally, a breakthrough! (Yes, even I have epiphanies now and then.)
That "advanced Civilization" I created about 60 million years ago has bored me to tears. True, its my own fault. I gave them too many tools, and too much insight. Originally I thought it would be fun to watch intelligent beings learn and grow exponentially, but its all been so predictable. Now they're out exploring the vastness of space. Even they're getting bored.
So I've decided to create some playmates for them. I don't have a working blueprint for these guys yet, but that's okay. That's where I went wrong the first time; I made the advancedly-civilized too perfect. (Yeah, I don't think that was proper grammar, but who's gonna correct me?)
I'll give them a rudimentary body, nothing fancy. One which allows them to think, procreate and survive. They'll have a larger range of emotion, which will juxtapose the other guys. And I'll give them the option to evolve. Yes, that's perfect!
And just for shits and giggles, I'll place the new guys on this relatively new hunk of rock floating around a sun millions of light years away from the first batch. Let's see if they can find one another. Yeah, this should be amusing.
