The night you left me

I didn't cry

I wasn't sad

I felt nothing

But relief

After years

Years of

Nothing but

Abuse

The night you left

I knew in my heart

It was for the best

My friends would ask me

Are you okay

With a smile on my face I say yes

Little do they know

The nights I cry myself to sleep at night

Because of the awful words you say

The night you left

I felt nothing

As you bled

With a quick shot to the head

You collapsed down

Turning the floors red

I wanted to cry

As I watched you bleed

But there was no feeling inside of me

The night you left

I didn't cry

Instead I decided

That night would be my last
