Success
Dear Sir
I would like to thank you for your cordial invitation. And although I would like to speak at your campus I unfortunately have other circumstances demanding my attendance. I beg that you accept my humble apologies. However, I will sum up all I have to say here, so that the word the Lord has given me may be shared among you. I have noticed that although you believe in Christ and profess your faith you and your congregation still eagerly seek success. Although I do agree it is good to make full use of ones abilities I do not believe it necessary that you chase after this goal as you do. Everyone must be aware of his calling and should the Lord instruct a man to run his own business or if He places him in a position of authority so be it! However I would like you recognize there is nothing success has to offer you. First it can not offer you wealth, as you are already rich beyond any man on earth in a currency that is imperishable. Success can not give you happiness and besides endless, unconditional joy is granted to you. It can not offer you friendship as the friends of a rich man simply seek after his money. You already have the greatest friend in the world and millions of brothers and sisters so what is there to want? Therefore I remind you that Jesus is your all in all and you have no need of what this world is trying to sell you. Send my greetings to the congregation and I am praying for you constantly.
Sincerely John Smith
