Sirens wail

Whistles blow

Bullets hail

Deaths grow

Men march with their hearts at home

Their fear starts but no stopping: they go

It's getting cold

Numbers less

Not so bold now

But won't confess

Friends gone

Are their deaths justified?

They say we've won

But no one feels glorified
