Preservation.

I don't know how to handle all of what life offers within the presence of another.

So don't fault me if I run away,

I simply couldn't stay.

Not now.

Not among the stimuli and the distractions

So please let me shut you out, please understand I must go away for a while 

And I'm sorry if you don't feel my appreciation, it's just all the overstimulation

Just know that your place in my heart hasn't changed

But that my emotions are strong and they run a broad range 

Therefore I look forward to the isolation because with it comes preservation.
