Good Wolf; Bad Wolf
I wasn't a child when I heard this; in fact, it wasn't too long ago.
I think the person that gave this to me said they got it from the Native Americans and the premise was simple: IF! There are parts of you that are' Bad' and parts of you that are 'Good' see them in your mind as two wolves; a 'Good' wolf and a 'Bad' wolf. Which wolf are you going to feed?
I thought to myself, 'What does the Good Wolf look like?' He's small, white, still a wolf cub with the head and feet to big for his body. He's friendly, cute and playful and always happy and moving and bouncing around and lives above the Arctic Circle in a lot of snow.
Next I thought 'What does the Bad Dark Wolf look like?' Whoa, He's impressive. Sitting he is taller than I am standing. Everything about him states of an explosive power backed by a dense muscle of a committed moving force.
His fur is dark brown to black and extremely thick; not just the fur as whole, but each strand like a wire. He too lives far north above the Arctic Circle and as it snows he sits unmoving letting it pile up on top of him
His back is always to me but not to ignore or disrespect me, but more of a feeling he's looking out for me; on guard 42/7 he never sleeps.

I was hanging out with the Little White Wolf Cub and we could always see the Big Dark Wolf off in the distance. A conversation begins; he didn't ask to be created but now that he is... The Little White Wolf Cub looks up at me, "He's just sitting there all alone in the cold and no one to talk with. Do you think he's hungry?” I thought for a minute and said, "Let's give him some food." Little White Wolf Cub says, "Yeah, I'd like that. That's a good idea."
So we send the Big Dark Wolf some food.

Someone is coming to meet me and they are very angry.
The Little White Wolf Cub is getting pumped up and ready to go moving his little feet to dig into the snow all excited and joy ready to be a 'comforting blanket of love.'...
It was like two or three Browning 30 Cal Machine Guns opened fire the Little White Wolf Cub was blasted in the body his blood flying his legs shot out from under him. I looked over at the Big Dark Wolf and "Uuuuuh? Little help over here?"
The Big Dark Wolf rushes in pushing forward, just pushing forward, with intent and a declaration: 'Enough.'
I looked down a the Little White Wolf Cub lying bloodied in the snow at my feet. "It's okay," He said, "I'll get better at this; it's just going to take a while."
Yeah, I get that, but I'd have to say that in this world, at least at times, I guess it's a good idea we give the Dark Bad Wolf some food.
