A love letter

Today I wrote a note to my dad

Because today he was feeling quite sad

And then as I saw his smiling face

I thought of my dad who lives up in space

And I wondered at my stupidity

As I had never given Him a note from me

And I thought "if my dad thought it was great,

Then I should probably articulate

So Dad here's my love letter to You

And I want you to know every word of its true.

The first thing I want to say

Is thank you for today

And for all my sins that you pay

And for letting me stay

After I run away

Also I know I'm petty bad

And a lot of times I make you sad

Or mad

But that's the good thing about having you dad

You love me even when I stumble

And grumble

When in my hart I mumble

And when away from you I tumble

Because all you see

Is the good part of me

Which is quite small I'm sure you'll agree

So thank you for all that you are

And that you comforting love is never a fare

And even though my harts like tare

You treasur it like an old car

Your the best

In the west

And the east, the north, the south

And you heard it from my very own mouth
