Tangle our lies in his truths

and see what we get.

Sensationalism.

Whittling down the story

to masked dolphins

taking over the world

because that's what we want to hear.

We engage in a frenzy.

Politicians stir up trouble to hide

The pipelines taking over sacred grounds.

I stop to ask myself

What could I have done better?

If I protested the pipelines

as hard as the right side of the aisle protests abortion,

would we have clean water in Michigan?

Fragmented thoughts produce

no new answers.
