It’s a Funny Thing

I see you in everything.

You haunt my days

With things that remind me of you,

You haunt my nights,

With dreams of you,

And yet,

No matter how hard I try,

I cannot forget you.

And even though,

You are killing me,

And robbing me of my sanity,

I still love you.

Isn't it a funny thing?

Love, I mean.

We love something that destroys us,

And somehow,

We are never able to find

The thing that will heal us.
