Granted, writers want to write well, but what makes a "Great Write?"

Character Development!
Because it's so boring not having well-rounded characters. I find it pretty fun giving characters awesome origins (though usually they're sad) and maybe cool hobbies or interests. Characters make the readers want to continue and have someone to relate to.
