Challenge
Write a poem using the words "remember" and "forget" at least once, with one at the beginning and one near the end.
The other side of that
I remember a thousand years ago,
A smile and a whispered “Hello”
When you came up to me for a chance
And asked me to dance
I remember shoulder length hair,
And blue eyes so bright, with skin so fair
But it was a dare from friends
And you quickly made amends
It meant more to me and nothing less
When one smiles and says “yes”
And I remember how it played out
A slow dance and a kiss, I wouldn’t doubt
But one night, so long ago
Is much to ask not to let go
But we went about our way
And I should have asked you to stay
To be enamored, by a plot
And your name, I simply forgot
And I will no longer take any chance
When a beautiful woman, asks for a dance
I never thought I would be on the
Other side of that
