Sonnet I – In Your Hands
It happens when I look in to your eyes;
When whispered burning breaths beseech my ear;
Your face when our gaze locks cannot disguise,
Your want, your need, compulsion draws you near.
Our shadows share a heartbeat, intertwined,
A limitless immaculate desire,
Surrender as we both become one mind,
This infinite and ever-kindled fire.
Alas, the love that dare not speak its name,
For such a thing has only been a dream,
Of passion cold, ignited in to flame,
A vision given life and set agleam.
My hope, my fate, held taut in your firm grasp;
My life, like sand to wind, should you unclasp.
