The Planet of Vim (Prologue: Origins + Part of Chapter 1: Vim
Prologue (Origins)
It is said that the world of Vim was born centuries ago. Long before earth was created, long before the first human was born. It is said that the great Alta Goddess was born from the sun and the stars. A beaming gleam of white energy was created and with it, the most powerful and most beautiful being was born. She was known as the Alta Goddess.
For centuries The Alta Goddess spent her days alone. Learning only of her powers and energy and growing stronger each day. Her first creation was Vim. A planet consisting of her energy and made from a mold of other planets in the universe. Vim was unlike any other planet, light years away from any other orbit it stood only with the Alta Goddesses light.
While the Alta Goddess was happy on her planet she began to feel lonely. Spending her time watching the galaxy; it was Earth that caught her attention. This planet unlike the rest had evolved and with it came beings similar to her called humans.
Fascinated by these creatures who were constantly evolving. They loved, procreated, society around them grew and the Alta Goddess upon observing them realized just how lonely she was. Pleading to the stars and the sun the Alta Goddess asked for a gift. She wanted children; beings like her which she could love and care for. Much like human mothers did.
Knowing how lonely she was the stars and the sun granted her wish. Gifting the Alta Goddess eight children by merging her light with eight planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Each planet gifting her with one child. One Vim. These children were not as strong as the Alta Goddess and their light glowed different colors than that of her own. Even so, she taught them about their world, about their creation. She taught them about planet Earth as well.
While the children all learned of this planet, mimicking their way of life. Using their own energy and strength to build their own civilization. Things seemed to fall into place for the Alta Goddess and yet… her children now grown up yearned to explore the planet they had observed for centuries. With a heavy heart the Alta Goddess had no choice but to let them go.
Alone, and feeling heartbroken the Alta Goddess yearned to fill the void left by her children. Wanting to create more children, the Alta Goddess looked for the eight planets she had merged with; but they had all gone silent. Leaving only one more planet in that solar system to turn to. Earth. The only planet in all the Galaxy which contained human life. The planet that had taken her children when it had it’s own.
Using her energy, she merged it with Earth’s own and with it three more children were born. Like the rest of her children they were powerful; yet not as strong as she was. Even so, The Alta Goddess loved her children and taught them all she knew.
Together with her children the Alta Goddess continued to improve Vim making the planet grow and prosper with their energy. And yet, all was incomplete for the Alta Goddess for she missed her other children who now lived on earth. She yearned to be united with them but respected their wishes to live their own lives. Her only comfort was watching over them. She watched some of them fall in love, create a family. While other’s simply integrated themselves into human society… And then... Exposure….
One of her children had been exposed. They’d been careful as it seemed their energy was not compatible with earth, producing fire and destruction if not suppressed. It was accidental, and while trying to show the children how to repress their own powers a human had seen them. Rumors began to spread of these superhuman beings and her children were sentenced to death.
With fear for her children the Alta Goddess descended to earth. Taking her children, and their families; including their human mates. With her strong power the Alta Goddess was able to erase the memories of her children on earth. She brought them all back to Vim and together they continued to build a society.
For the longest of times the Alta Goddess was truly happy. Her children were finally home and life continued to take it’s course. Children, grew up, had more children, who had more children and so on and so forth. But gradually life would take it’s course. First the human mates died. The Alta Goddess watched her children suffer and worried for the half human half vim children her own offsprings had produced.
Using her power, the Alta Goddess attempted to make these half children full Vim. The Alta Goddess believed full Vim children would live on, as had she for many centuries. But sadly she was wrong. One by one each of her children passed. Grief stricken she called forth the sun and the stars who explained it was natural for things to die. Her children were no exception.
“You are the only supreme being that we were able to create who shall never die. You were made to guide these children. Teach them the right way. And they shall love you forever…”
Chapter 1: Trauma
There's a song in my head. A soft melody that runs through my veins. It calls out to me.
I can feel the notes jump and with it my feet begin to move. Fast, slow, I leap! I can feel it in my head. There's a storm that comes with this music. It chases after me. This song makes me want to escape. There's a feeling of fear inside my chest that only keeps growing.
*Touch*
Flashes of the day come back to me. My skin being touched. My person being destroyed and violated. Grunts, sweat, crying, laughter. This place where I dance is dark. I'm afraid to fall off this stage even when no one is watching. My feet keep moving as I spin.
*Swish* *Swish* *Swish*
She taught me how to dance how to move perfectly. She taught me how to move. She taught me how to be the best. There's a light. It's so bright that it almost blinds me and I close my eyes. I can't stop this dance has to be perfect. She's watching me and I can't ever stop. My feet begin to ache as if I've danced for days and I struggle through the pain in my feet.
There's a sound of a door opening and I stop and open my eyes. The light grows brighter and I squint; putting my hand up to try and protect my eyes.
"Breya"
"Mother." I call out.
*Flash*
I feel like I've woken up from a dream. My body is exhausted and cold. A light flashes in my eyes and when I put my hand up to shield my eyes I can see dozens of police officers. All of them pointing their guns at me.
"Breya Bronwen"
"Where am I?" I find myself asking the officer that is closest to me and pointing his gun at me.
"Do not move Jessica or I will fire."
I can't understand why everyone is pointing a gun at me. How did I get here? Looking around I feel confused. This place is lonely. There is nothing but an empty field. The ground is covered in ash. When I look at my feet there is blood; blood and ash. My feet look raw as if I've been walking for miles, though I can't seem to feel it. Just looking at my bloodied feet makes my body fall. The officers continue to scream and threaten but as I look at my hands they too are covered in cuts, blood, bruises and ash…I'm naked.
My long chestnut hair has been cut and as I raise my hands up to my face, flashes come back of them. The football players.
"How bout it Bronwen. Take a ride with us. It'll be fun..."
"I said no Vincent!.."
"Come on you gave it up to James here why not all of us."
"No..."
"No!"
I can't help the fear that comes with these memories. The pain that builds itself not only in my body but deep within my core as I scream and the officers around me go into a panic.
I can see their faces. The way they all dragged me inside their car. The way they tied me up and gagged me until bringing me to the outskirts of town and then.
"NO!"
It's as if my pain has pushed it's way out of me and then. Fire. My hands glow pink and the ground around me begins to burn.
"What's happening to me?"
"Somebody please! Help me"
No matter how much I beg the officers around me have all retreated and then there's a woman. Blonde, pale skin with the greenest eyes I have ever seen. She glows with green flames stepping into my zone. It’s as if time has frozen around her and yet the officers continue to move though everything to me fades behind this woman. A woman who I am sure only I can see.
My body continues to react on it’s own and the flames around me increase. The sound of gunshots are heard and as they pass by this woman the bullets disintegrate in her green fiery orb. Her eyes look into my own pulling me in, leaving me off free will. Darkness begins to call my name and when I fight my flame intensifies. Her eyes flicker with something for just a moment and then she smiles as she increases her own flame.
"Sleep."
Just like that. Unwillingly my body succumbs to the darkness as I feel her own flame engulf me in, taking away my breath...
