Myself
My life is a simple life. I live in a small two bedroom home with just me. One day, though my life changed for the better. There was this little boy who had just moved to town and he was just wandering around the neighborhood one Thursday. I was sitting at my desk near the window, simply writing to my kids, who live in Florida, when I saw this little red headed boy walk near my home and just stare. Yes, I have to admit my house is fairly interesting looking, it is purple with walls made almost entirely out of glass, but no one around my neighborhood ever looked in to see what was happening. Everyone just passed me by, like I was this unimportant little speck of dust floating in the wind. Until the day that made me realize some people are special, and this little boy was one of them. he noticed me in the window that day and decided to come up to my door. Since I am not used to people, I was intrigued by this action, so I opened the door. The boy came in and told me his story. His name was Carson and he came from a little house near the river. I didn't know what to say back though, so I asked him if he wanted to sit with me on the couch and talk. He said of course and it changed my life. I never knew that people actual cared about me, they all just seem to go by without even noticing me. Usually people are always caught up in the news or television, so to have someone so interested in another person's life opened me up to the world. I realized that I was this person who shut herself out to the public and just hated everyone and everything. But this child changed me, it showed me that talking with someone can be the perfect chance to turn your life around. It was weird, all we talked about was where he came from and why he was here, but he kept asking me questions and it made me feel super important. No one could ever take that away from me again. I had found my true self, simply by interacting with someone.
