Disappointing
It loomed before her, a massive dark grey beast, razor-sharp canines glinting in the pale moonlight. Blood and saliva drooled from the corner of its mouth. Its eyes were absolutely frightening: No pupils, no irises, just the whites of the eyes, but they weren't, well, they weren't white. They were a deep burgundy, and crimson trickled from the corners, as though it was crying blood. She wasn't sure what it was. A cross between a wolf and a demon? She didn't know, didn't care. All she knew was that it was going to kill her.
Her heart palpitated. A whimper escaped her lips as she tried to scramble away, but her body felt like lead. A great gash ran across her leg from when she'd been running from the beast earlier. Agony streaked through her veins whenever she tried even to just move it.
"Help..." she croaked, but she knew no one would come to her rescue. These woods were empty, completely free of people. There wasn't a person for miles.
Even if there were people, no one would hear her and plus, any person in the right mind, seeing that great monster, wouldn't prioritise her life before their own. They'd run away and just leave her. If she was going to get out of this situation, she would have to do it alone.
Her heart palpitated. She was trembling violently, feeling the most fear she had ever felt in her entire life. How was she going to escape? Her leg wouldn't let her run fast enough to get away from the monster. Despair overwhelmed her. What if... what if all she could do was give up?
Then she remembered something. Her eyes widened. Her penknife! It would kill the monster! It was just a regular penknife, but for some unknown unreasonable unrealistic weird reason, it would definitely kill this unbelievably powerful monster, although it was totally nothing special and just, well, a penknife!
She drew her penknife, stuck it in the monster. Amazingly, the monster died! Aha! She had known that a penknife would do the trick and be able to vanquish the super powerful monster that had killed thousands of people before her!
She got up. Then she went home and lived happily ever after.
The end!

When I have no idea how to resolve the conflict in the story and decide to just write a really cheap, disappointing and frustrating resolution. Heh.
