Challenge
Write a poem, or a sentence, a haiku about someone speaking your name. Write whatever form you like.
a woman, outstretched arms and yellow dress like daffodils:
leaning slightly backwards, as if the headlights and night quiet
is pushing her back-
and then she falls,
like a god when his name is forgotten,
or like a world
when it no longer belongs to anyone.
she falls
softly and all at once,
the road under her dress
and the world under her head.
shouting something about love
that i don't quite remember.
