Spoiler Alert for Divergent!

This begins below, so as to save anyone who doesn't want spoilers for the Divergent books/movies. . .

Tris. . . I cried like a little girl when I read how she died, and even more as Four faced his fear of heights in the memory of her, zip-lining like she did in book one. I think this death affected me more than any other fictional character. I think. . . I think I was falling in love with her. Is that wrong? To share in the experiences of a person (fictional or otherwise) is to create an emotional bond between the two, a tie that connects one's pain and suffering to the other's. I shared in her heartbreak and her rage. I shared in her love with Four, and her uncertainty as her friends kept betraying her or dying. . .

I fall in love with every woman that I meet, and this one was no different. Her death affected me. And there, at the end, I was flying through the broken city of Chicago along with Four, in memory of Tris.
