Characters from Part I of the Motto Trilogy Book One: Together We Fight
Brandon O'Connor
A quiet, natural leader, Brandon is extremely smart. In his mid-twenties, he makes his living by fixing computers. His uncle, Dr. Oswald, did a similar thing, but he had a darker past. He inspired Brandon to create his own special elite force...using regular teens. Only, with the technology--and the wisdom--from his uncle, he opened up the part of their brains that allowed for telepathic communication and other such abilities like force fields, ect.
Brandon sometimes doubts that this was a wise thing to do, and he feels the responsibility of the Team's well-being quite heavily. But the Team has showed themselves capable over and over again, so it's been eased...a little.
Chris Robertson
At sixteen, the athletic youth is the leader of the Shadow Elite (the team started by Brandon O'Connor.) His tousled brown hair, deep brown eyes, well-defined muscles (from all the training) and his winning smile make him the favorite of the girls around, but he never pays much attention to them. He's very focused on his job, which is making decisions for the Team and keeping everyone as safe as possible.
Chris spends a lot of time training, and sometimes wonders if perhaps leading the Team is a little much for him.
He is very protective of his younger sister, and even though sometimes they don't get along, he won't let anyone mess with her.
Chris is pretty much good at everything, from sports to battle strategies to using exo-suits or katanas. He keeps a level-head and tries not to let emotions rule him. Everyone looks up to him and accepts his commands without question. (Well, most the time, anyway.)
Abigail Robertson
She's fourteen, and a little bit on the short side, with long reddish brown hair and brown eyes. Abigail, just like Chris, takes training seriously, but for a totally different reason. When the Team was first created, she failed every training scenario. As far as endurance went, she was good, but when it came down to actual skill, it was a little different.
She is a very determined person, sometimes stubborn, which occasionally causes problems. She is pretty outgoing, has a bit of sarcasm, and enjoys playing practical jokes.
There's a rumor she's got a thing for Jackson Carson, one of the other team members, but no one really knows for sure.
Abigail's telepathic abilities took much longer to mature, but they are very strong.
Lakin Robertson
A strong-willed individual with sparkling brown hairs, freckles, and brown hair. A very reckless driver and sometimes a reckless person, she and Jackson are often off pulling pranks. When she's not pulling pranks, she's working on hacking computers (her weak spot.)
Her only "flaws" per se is that she's very competitive and always feels like there's something that she's got to prove. Sometimes she worries too much about what people think and how she looks than what really matters.
She is great at sports but does not get a chance to play them much. She helps Abigail train.
Peter McComber
Peter McComber has dark blonde/light brown hair and grayish eyes. Quiet and laid-back, he seems like he's easy-come, easy-go, and doesn't have a care in the world, but that really isn't true. He just hides his emotions. The one thing he's worried about the most is that his position as second-in-command is threatened by lovable Jackson Carson. Of course, that isn't true, but everyone has their own perception.
Peter handles himself very well in dangerous situations, mainly because he's trained so much that he doesn't even have to think about what he's doing--his body just seems to act on its own.
He thinks everything he does very carefully and thoroughly, so he is very good at making strategies.
His telepathic abilities are average.
Rachel McComber
A fourteen year old with dark blonde hair and doe brown eyes, she's very petite. But don't let her size fool you (as it does other.) She is a very capable warrior and a formidable foe. Even her own team members often underrate her and it irritates her, but she's too lazy to prove them wrong.
She's an amazing hacker and she has slightly stronger than usual telepathic abilities
A funny and outgoing person, she's also a great listener and doesn't criticize.Even though she's a favorite with small children, she can't figure out how to keep her baby sister, Ashley, from crying.
She loves animals and sometimes volunteers at the local animal shelter.
Jackson Carson
With spiked blonde hair, a killer tan, ice blue eyes, and some good-looking muscles, Jackson's cool and he knows it. A little bit of a show-off and a major prank player, sometimes people get annoyed with him, but it's kind of hard to stay annoyed at him for so long. Especially when he smiles at you.
Jackson is a very smart, quick thinker, but sometimes he can be a bit rash and hot headed.
He is very athletic, and extremely capable, but sometimes he's a little confident and sometimes careless, which always gets him--and sometimes the entire Team--into trouble.
He loves to invent, and designs most of the Team's weapons. However, for all his smarts, he can't seem to not burn toast.
Julia Carson
Jackson's quieter, shyer twin, Julia's a very pretty young woman. Just like her twin, she can shoot ice from her palms and has very strong telepathic abilities to the point where Brandon thinks she's an anomaly.
Julia is sometimes underrated, but she tries not to let it bother her.
She is a quick thinker as well, but unlike her brother, she is not as rash.
She loves long-distance running and biking, and is an excellent cook. She's also a capable computer hacker, which is always useful.
Her driving leaves a little bit to be desired, but thanks to Brandon's auto-pilot cars, that's okay.
Jenny Carson
A few months younger than both Jackson and Julia, she's their cousin. She is a very pretty young woman, and is very confident but quiet. The more motherly type, the Team usually comes to her when they have a problem or something is bothering them.
She has a very strong intuition as well as a quiet sense of courage and strength.
Also like her cousins, she is a very strong telepath, able to shoot ice out of her palms and communicate with telepathy over extremely long distances.
Like the rest of the Team, she is able to morph into a any animal as long as she has that animal's DNA (using her brain power to manipulate her body's structure, shape, and DNA.)
