She had an issue...
She stood invisible among the sea of people going about their daily routine. She was a beautiful woman, but that didn’t matter. The stench permeating from her body no longer bothered her. She had been living with it for so long, her nose had grown accustomed to it; however, to others in the market it was noticeable. She was no beggar, just a woman looking for answers. Her trip to the market was no accident for she had heard of a certain man who had healed the sick was sojourning through her town. Word spread quickly, as the healer entered the town with his entourage in tow. She knew in her heart that all she needed was one touch. Throngs of people surrounded the man. The twelve bodyguards encircled him as the poor, infirmed, and hopeless descended upon him. She knew it was now or never. Already doubled over from pain, she crawled on her hands and knees through the crowd looking for the crimson robe. As she neared him, she stretched out her hand and grasped the hem of the garment. Instantly she knew something had taken place. The man obviously had sensed it as well. She heard him ask, “Who touched me?” The twelve men were perplexed, it was impossible for him not to be touched in his current surroundings. “Someone touched me. Power has gone out of me.” Invisible to others, she was now made visible to him. She stood up and walked toward him, the crowd seemingly parting as the Red Sea. The woman fell down before him and told the man her story. “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace,” he said in a still calm voice. The people were amazed as the woman walked confidently through the crowd rejoicing because she was now healed.
