Age

It's a scary thing to think about

Because with a bigger number

Chances become smaller

At least that's what we are taught.

So what if people didn't have a number to define them?

What if we were just all living?

Nobody closer to death

Nobody fading from success

And equal chances for all.

We are told that if we stall,

We will miss our chance.

We will be too stiff to dance

Too weary to sing

And simply waiting forever for what life shall bring.

It's a number.

The possibilities are limitless.

So why do we enable such a label of age?
