All Depends on Perspective
Ninety-four percent believe they are better than average, and statistically speaking ninety-four percent is, in fact, greater than average, forty-four points above average at that, but that’s not what we are talking about today. No, what we are talking about today is the fact that ninety-four percent of people believe themselves to be better than average. In a way this is true, almost everyone can find a way that they are better than the average person if they look at it in certain ways. For example, the couple that can save up half of their paychecks for retirement is better off than the starving author that barely makes enough to by the bills, who in turn believes herself better off than her neighbor who can’t even do that. As for that six percent that don’t believe themselves better than average? Shh, those are the pessimists we don’t talk about them.
