Dreaming Weirdly
Somewhere, soft sheets shift
Into somber slumber
And take me through colorful
Clouds of subconscious daydreams
That play in yellow grass
And green sky's with purple
Crayon mountains and pink
Rivers carrying rainbow trout
Till the ringing noise of daybreak
Bring me to the edge of heated sheets
Half covering thighs and the sleep crusted
Eyes that need water to be cleared
And industrial strength coffee to keep them open and before the inevitable
question is asked
"What the hell was that?"
