stardust.
When you look at your wrist, your veins are blue.
This color comes from the Iron.
While we perceive iron as fairly common, it only naturally occurs in one place.
See, stars burn by fusing elements. When they run out of hydrogen, they burn helium, and when they run out of helium, they burn... you get the idea.
When stars create and burn iron, they become too heavy and collapse. The new element is thrown into every corner of the galaxy until someday, eventually, it finds its way into the blood in your veins.
It could be argued that we are all made of stardust.
The stars burn and die, filling the sky with their brilliant and beautiful colors, so that something more brilliant and beautiful can live.
So think of that the next time you think you're nothing special- or that the world would be better off without you.
The truth is, the world worked very hard to make you.
