If you were a book or perhaps a series of books

I tried to read you like a novel.

I've gotten halfway through

But it's taken over a year

And I've forgotten the beginning

And I want to pick you off the shelf

And read you again.

Your level was too high.

I couldn't comprehend you if I tried.

I failed the test on you & I want another chance & I don't want to read anymore books until I'm finished with you.

Or maybe you are just too much.

I haven't gotten to the part that will make me cry 

but I feel like it's coming up soon.
