Breath of My Soul
Standing alone
in the cold onyx night,
sighing with wistful longing
in deep breath of my soul,
contemplating your wildness,
taunting and teasing.
Desire wells up
as you sashay by,
a swaying lure
with no backward glance.
While I patch
my empty vessel,
you grab life
between your teeth.
I listen to the wind,
fantasizing that we
are running rampantly
through meadows
of pure passion
before time
slips away,
praying for the moon
to share our table,
but our world
is colored with
forlorn farewells
on empty streets.
