Unloved
I stare down the edge of the cliff.
"I found him with another woman. Surely he won't miss me when I'm gone." I think.
I sit down in the soft, sweet, sandy grass at my feet, listening to the whisper of the wind through the tress and the gentle cries of the birds as they soar above me. I close my eyes, taking in all the familiar sounds that I won't get to hear anymore, etching them into my memory as if I'll be able to take them with me.
Once again, he comes to mind. Him, the love of my life, and the biggest disappointment I'd ever faced.
"He never loved me. No one loves me. He was only proof of that. No one will ever miss me." I whisper.
In the distance I hear children laughing happily as they're playing at the playground.
"So innocent. No ones had the opportunity to hurt them yet." I mutter.
Drawing one last deep breath, I gather what's left of my courage and I jump. As I fall, I hear him scream my name.
