Invade My Dreams

They hunted you mercilessly,

set fire to your fortress.

I was a babe then,

innocent of all.

But still you invade my dreams.

You beg me to run,

for want of chase.

You realize quickly

I am not like the others,

I choose to stay.

With your razor fingers

you rip open my chest

and tear out my heart,

which still beats for you.

Oh, how I wish I knew you in life.

But now here in death,

I fear not.

For now we can be together,

forever.
