The means justify the end

Do the means justify the end?

If by doing the lesser evil

Will I lose all of my friends?

But for the greater good!

Ah, yes.

But when the bullet pierces his flesh

Will the death of my enemy be mourned

Any less?

Who weighs the two and determines

Whose worth is greater

For my good is another’s evil

And my evil another’s good

And can I judge better

Than any other would?

So I have a choice to make

A gun in my hand

A great deal is at stake

My friend

Or a murderer

My friend

Or the man I hate

So I made the one choice

That wouldn’t damn me to hell

The lesser evil for my greater good

I wish them both well
