Challenge
You're a Pompeiian poet. Volcanic ash is raining down. You write one last poem. What is it?
Time to make
Time is what you make it
I have always been told,
never leave things to chance
you never know
what could happen.
Times I wished
I lived a simple life
by the sea,
lived as a
fisherman
casting nets.
A time I wished
I kept a promise
and not run away,
To be on a boat
at sea.
Now time
is catching up
with me,
It's not long now
I'll be covered in ash.
Time I wished
I'd listed to friends
and lovers,
A time to die
not me.
I live forever with Love
