Appetite for Life
Sometimes we need to define what a perfect life is to ourselves in order to pursue it. But we all know that there is no one recipe for perfection. Each of us has our own perception of life. I mean we are each creating our own experiences, so of course they are each unique. It is only each person's perception of perfection that brings harmony to the world. Why? Because that person brings the ultimate example of joy and happiness for us all to be inspired by.
I created this challenge to reflect what I personally am on a journey to accomplish. I am presenting here my perspective of my perfect life. I want to encourage any and all to join in and gain some perspective on the life you are creating.
Ingredients:
Acceptance of myself then and now
Appreciation for everything good and bad
Belief in all that is possible
Being present in the moment
Challenges that give me clarity
Clarity
Creativity
Defined purpose and goals
Discovery
Eagerness
Excitement
Expansion
Expectation
Exploration
Fearlessness to soften resistance to live freely
Knowing what I want and who I am
Motivation
New moment resolutions as the next minute is always a new beginning
Right perspective
Selfishness to be me first before I can be for others
Unconditional love for myself
My grandma never used to cook with a recipe or measuring tools. She would use her desire for a tasteful result to guide her. She only used ingredients that she liked to eat and would rely on her past experience in cooking to know the right method or process to prepare the dish. The results were always divine and satisfying.
I want to create my life the same way. All of my experience up to this point have shown me what ingredients I want and which ones I don't want to include. I also have discovered that there can be many variations to a recipe. So, all of the ingredients I have included in this recipe can be added or just some at different times. Each ingredient is delightful in itself and much more radiant when combined with others. As I age I will probably add to the list.
An example would be as follows:
Start with just enough challenges that will provide clarity on acceptance and appreciation for yourself.
Use creativity, eagerness, expectation, and excitement to find discovery, exploration, and motivation.
With a little belief can come perspective, a defined purpose, and being present in the moment.
With the right amount of selfishness comes a fearless knowing of yourself as you fall in love with yourself.
The result is a grand Appetite for Life.
