Challenge
Surrealism inspires me. Write your most surreal piece (poetry or prose).
Make it your own and make it imaginative. For inspiration, you can turn to French surrealism, Dada poetry, or Bizarro fiction.
Two Dreams
In a dream
of years ago.
I'm a child again,
with blonde pigtails
down to my waist.
There's a familiar park
and a familiar school
where I swing
and run,
rushing to the slide.
Violet flowers
bloom against a gray landscape.
And I'm screaming the names
of those who've
forgotten my face.
But it is only you
who sees me
and smiles.
Though I am not sure
we've met before,
I recognize your prescence.
I know your ghost
and I call you brother.
You look like me,
even though you are smaller
and have a different smile.
