Write about the sea in any form, prose or poetry.
The Kraken
Deep inside the roiling sea
Swallowed by an oyster
There lives a tiny part of me
A part that is a monster
Black and grey and full of teeth
It slithers and unfurls
It slumbers while it waits beneath
A shining bed of pearls
I tried to bury it and run
I tried to weigh it down with rocks
I hid it far from everyone
Down below the salty docks
But it woke up, it got away
It slipped back up upon the shore
Escaping through the solid quay
To join with me I'm whole once more
Although to call me now complete
Is the saddest of sad lies
I think it's time that you should meet
The one inside, my sweet surprise.
I hope you like it.
Happy Anniversary.
