I write. . .because I don't know what I'm thinking until I see my thoughts on paper.

. . .because the voices in my head are louder than the person closest to me.

. . .because it hurts to hold it in.

. . .because watching letters crawl across a screen tells me someone is listening.

. . .because my voice doesn't have a CAPS LOCK.

. . .because some things just can't be said out loud.

. . .because there is no UNDO in life, or BACKSPACE in arguments.

. . .because no one interrupts what I'm struggling to say.

. . .because the words hold my memories.
