When You Take Off Your Mask
I'm alone in this world and I don't know why
There's people around but none hear my cry.
They plaster fake smiles and care on their face
But really they think I'm a waste of their space.
The world has no room for those who need love.
Teetering on the edge? Then they'll give you a shove.
Surivial of the fittest, atleast that's what they say
There's no black or white anymore, just lots of grey.
And they tell me it's me, that I'm the sick one
But I'll be the strong one when all's said and done.
Not because I'm perfect--because fact is, I'm not--
I just won't surrender my acts or my thoughts.
People of the world, isn't it time to unmask?
Time to stop being afraid, stop avoiding this task?
Stop being someone you weren't meant to ever be,
When you accept the truth, it'll set you free.
