My God, My God…why have you forsaken me? (A Gold for One Month Scholarship Challenge)
"My God, my God,
Why hast thou forsaken me?"
The world is crumbling down
Around your ears, and it
Seems He is not there.
And as you doubt His prescence,
Sometimes you doubt His existence.
I can tell you now,
And save you pain,
God does not forsake His own,
And even though you can't see Him,
He is there, watching over us all.
He isn't "the big man upstairs,"
And He's not waiting
For you to mess up
So He can punish you
from above...
Because He's a God of love
And He wanted you to love Him,
He gave you a free will
Even knowing that you
Would forsake Him.
And yet with open arms He stands,
Waiting for you to
Return to the one
Who gave His all
For you.
