The Case for Emptiness

We often think of emptiness as a negative concept.

After all, who wants to feel

depleted?

.hopeless?

..empty?

...lost?

I know I may sound like a fool,

but sometimes people become fools themselves for not listening.

(either that or they're deaf)

We often think of emptiness as something that needs to be filled.

an empty mind?

.fill it with memories.

an empty heart?

..fill it with faith.

an empty mug of beer?

...fill that shit back to the brim.

Sometimes

we all forget

that everything that is filled,

whether it be

a bowl of rice

.a balloon

..a tooth

...an ocean

was empty to begin with.
