An Unwanted Child

An unwanted child,

A glimpse of hope,

And a cause to fight for,

All caused an apocalypse.

The unwanted child thought

He was doing his best,

Following that glimpse of hope,

He had a cause to fight for,

But he never thought is would lead

To mass destruction.

It left him wondering,

If it was really a glimpse of hope,

A cause to fight for,

Or if it was just an allusion,

That he was manipulated into believing.

The apocalypse left him

Sitting in ruin,

Letting the ash drift down around,

Crying for the people he lost,

And everything that had fallen,

Because of an unwanted child.
