Beyond Devastated

The world seems to be falling

Slowly

Crumbling

Under the pressure

I’ve forced upon it

There’s no way to fix this

No way to say I’m sorry

No way to make it up

You can’t reverse death

All you can do

Is be kind while people are here

I’ve learned that the hard way

Why did I tell you to leave?

Why didn’t the car see you?

Why couldn’t it have been me?

To say I’m devastated is an understatement

I have lost the love of my life
