They say it’s not my hair

The hair that I wear

They say its not my hair

I bought it from the store

With the money I worked hard for

I comb and brush it

I wash and dye it

But, still they say it’s not my hair

The hair that I wear

I know it doesnt grow out of my head

I know I take it off when I go to bed

But this is my hair

The hair that I wear

No matter what they say

I wear my hair each day

I hold my head up high

I hold it to the sky

I love the hair I wear

No matter where it’s from

It is my hair because I care for it as such
